“Silesius Review” accepts submissions of previously unpublished articles, in whole or in part, that are relevant to the journal's scope. Author submitting an article should:
use the Article template,
be aware that the article will be subjected to a three-stage review process, including: an initial review by the Editorial Board, anti-plagiarism checks using professional software, and a double-blind peer review by two independent specialists in the subject of the article in question (see more: Review policy),
prepare the text of the article in accordance with APA 7 citation style.
The journal collects no fees from either authors or readers. There is no APC as contributors are not charged for consideration, review or publication of their proposed manuscripts.
Review process
The review of articles submitted to the “Silesius Review” is conducted in three stages.
In the first stage, the Editorial Board conducts a preliminary assessment of the article, which then either qualifies or rejects it for the second stage. The subject of the consideration is to assess whether the proposed article fits the scope of the journal. The author is notified of the decision without undue delay.
In the second stage, the accepted article is subjected to anti-plagiarism testing using professional software iThenticate.
In the third stage, the accepted and tested article is subjected to a double blind peer review by two independent reviewers who specialise in the subject of article in question. In the case of a significant discrepancy between the two reviews, the article may be referred for a third review. The reviewers consider and evaluate the originality and merit of the article's content. The final decision on publication is made by the Editorial Board.
If needed, the reviewers are equally required to notify the editors of any conflict of interest and refrain from reviewing the article in such a case.
The list of journal reviewers is published in the final issue of the journal for the year.
