About the Journal
“Silesius Review” is an online, peer-reviewed, semi-annual open-access journal with an international scope, published by the Angelus Silesius Academy of Applied Sciences in Wałbrzych (Poland). The journal serves as an international forum for the presentation of research results on the functioning of the state and its actors. Taking into the account the journal's patron and the name of the Academia – Angelus Silesius – “Silesius Review” gives the opportunity to publish papers focusing on the problems and issues related to the politics and institutions of Central and Eastern Europe. Therefore, the journal is aimed at a broad international readership and collaboration in social sciences disciplines.
All articles submitted to the journal are subject to rigorous peer review: both internal (conducted by the Editorial Board (EB), including the usage of a professional anti-plagiarism program) and external (using the double-blind review formula). The reviewers are carefully selected in accordance with their declared field of expertise and academic interests. Submitted articles are reviewed by two independent reviewers, none of whom may be affiliated or employed at the same institution as the author of the proposed article.
Given the commitment to the highest quality of published papers and, consequently, to meeting strict ethical standards, the International Advisory Board (IAB) has been established. IEB consists of researchers with established positions and outstanding experience in conducting scientific research at the international level, recognised in the social science community.
All articles are published in English and are also subjected to professional linguistic proofreading by a native speaker.
